Richard's thoughts

A mother and father in a recent news story where accused of disobeying the parents "code of conduct" and murdered them. If the parents had forgiven their daughters like in the story of Esau and Jacob in Genesis 25, 27, 32, and 33, they would most likely be alive. The story is about Jacob and Esau and their father was dyeing and they would each get half of what he owned. Jacob pulled off a scheme to fool Esau into giving Jacob more inheritance, but in the end Esau found out and Jacob ran for his life into an other country. Jacob avoided his brother until one day he ran into each other. Jacob was afraid Esau would seek vengence on him but instead Jacob ran to him embraced him and showed him forgiveness and mercy. The biblical story relates to the article due to the fact that forgiveness could solve anything. The article states that if the parents had remained calm and forgiving they would most likely be alive today, showing that forgiveness solves anything.
